    • Siblings Without Rivalry Author: Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish If you love parenting solutions to everyday issues, but don’t have a lot of time for a lengthy parenting text, this is a book for you. It discusses how we, as parents, can empower our children in their relationships with their siblings and with others. In my experience, we learn a tremendous amount of life lessons from our siblings and from the roles that we play in our family unit. Siblings Without Rivalry offers wonderful, easy-to-read and understand illustrations that address everyday situations and creates clear examples of how our communications can enhance both the sibling relationship as well as the parent-child relationship.   As a parent, it can be difficult to treat each child equally as time and circumstances continue to change. Faber and Mazlish challenge that although ‘equal parenting’ can be an impossible ideal, ‘unique parenting’ is ultimately what each child needs. If a child’s individual needs are met and they are shown positive relationship building skills, they will develop a healthy sense of self and a set of skills that will serve them well for a lifetime.
