Because we care about the
community in which we are raising our children, each chapter
performs service projects throughout the year to help make our
community a better place to live. Here are some of the
services projects we have participated in over the years:
(2006-2007) Created a cookbook for the Lewis House, women's shelter in Eagan, donating over $3,000. Cookbooks are still available at $12 per book.
(2005-2006) Helped out a member's family affected by Hurricane
Katrina--donated clothes, children's toys, children's clothes and
gift cards. Donated school supplies to the "Bridge to School" and
family school services. Moms packaged meals for starving children in
third-world countries at Feed My Starving Children in Eagan. We
donated three boxes of winter clothing and coats to "Family
Connection Plus" (ECFS). We wrapped gifts at Barnes and Noble for
donations; we then donated all the funds raised to JDRF. Birthday
bags were created for the "Cheerful Givers" program with donated
products; gift bags full of donated goodies went to the children
staying at the Lewis House. Mothers Day gift baskets were created
and distributed to moms staying at the Lewis house and for moms with
husbands in the military who are deployed over seas. We donated
money to Breast cancer, March of Dimes, MS society and Julia's
Cancer fund. We also held a fund raiser at Davanni's in Eagan.
